Symposium on Intimacy & Sexual Relationships in Early Recovery The Symposium on Intimacy & Sexual Relationships in Early Recovery that took place on 21st July was well attended and involved stimulating input from the speakers (Claire Rockliffe-Fidler, Dana Tadmore, Mark Emmerich and Peter Powis) and a lively discussion moderated by Rodger Meyer. NEWSLETTER  JUNE/JULY 2012  As we approach mid-winter we have been reminded by the need to find light in the dark and that ‘together we can’. Our recent workshop focussing on ‘Healing Shame’ was a warming experience of this. This fresh experience of an old topic has inspired us to focus further on ‘Healing Shame’ in our September workshop. Well we are well on way “one day at a time” into 2012! Many changes have heralded the relatively new year. Katy has held the proverbial ship afloat while Jean has acquired her “knew knee”. RECOVERY ASSISTANT COURSE We started the year with “Recovery Assistant Course” in mid January and have at present 21 learners. Prospect Hill Recovery Practice celebrates our 1st birthday!

1 April 2011 marked 1 year since Prospect Hill Recovery Practice opened its doors to offer support to individuals affected by addiction and other compulsive self-defeating behaviour. During this time we have been happy to welcome a number of dedicated and experienced professionals to Prospect Hill. Starting with Dr. Duncan Laurenson, Andre Le Roux and Romey Russell, followed by Mark Emmerich, Frances Ward and Katherine Train. What is happening at PHRP? Currently, we offer medical treatment, individual counseling, group counseling and workshops for anyone recovering from the effects of any all-consuming behaviour.
